چکیده
Abstract Background Medial malleolus fracture is commonly seen nowadays in orthopaedic practice. There are different modalities of treatment based on pattern and socioeconomic status. Undisplaced can be managed by cast application. Various surgical available treating medial like tension band wiring, cancellous screw or cortical fixation, plate Kirschner wire, suture anchors. The purpose our study was to evaluate radiological outcome with open reduction internal fixation closed percutaneous fixation. Materials Methods Our included 67 patients who met inclusion criteria were divided into two groups. Group 1 52 malleolar fractures cases treated either wiring. Other 15 group 2 cannulated screw. All postoperative evaluated at 1st month, 2nd 3rd 6th year. We patient clinically union fractures. Results In out there male preponderance average age 46.55 years. Right-side more compared left-side Most common mode injury road traffic accident. Transverse number study. Average time 13.46 weeks 15.14 weeks. Fracture 96.15% 93.33%. The Outcomes of Pilon Fracture Treatment: Primary Open Reduction and Internal Fixation Versus Twostage Approach
Background: Pilon fracture is one of the challenging injuries in orthopedic surgery. Associated soft tissue injury is animportant factor in choosing treatment options. Two major methods of treatment are considered as one-stage openreduction internal fixation (ORIF) and two-stage treatment (primary external fixation and secondary ORIF). The latter ismost accepted in literature. In the current st...
متن کاملThe functional outcome of surgically treated unstable pelvic ring fractures by open reduction, internal fixation
Abstract Background: Unstable Pelvic fracture, a result of high energy antero-posterior compression injury, has been managed based on internal fixation and open reduction. The mode of fixation in Unstable Pelvic fracture has, however, been a subject of controversy and some authors have proposed a need to address the issue of partial breach of the pelvic ring elements in these injuries. This st...
متن کاملFunctional Outcome of Internal Fixation of Radial and Ulna Fracture
Background: Displaced fractures of radius and ulna bones in adults are usually treated with open reduction and internal fixation. The purpose of this research was to access functional outcome of these fractures. Materials and Methods: In this research 52 Patients who underwent ORIF with DCP 3.5 in past 5 years were investigated. Post-operation protocol was one week immobilization and then acti...
متن کاملOpen reduction and internal fixation compared to closed reduction and external fixation in distal radial fractures
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE In unstable distal radial fractures that are impossible to reduce or to maintain in reduced position, the treatment of choice is operation. The type of operation and the choice of implant, however, is a matter of discussion. Our aim was to investigate whether open reduction and internal fixation would produce a better result than traditional external fixation. METHODS 5...
متن کاملClosed Reduction versus Open Reduction and Pin Fixation in Pediatric Type III Supracondylar Humeral Fractures
Background Supracondylar humeral fractures constitute about 60% and 13% of all pediatric elbow and pediatric skeletal fractures, respectively, with a peak incidence in the 5-7 years age group. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare closed reduction with open reduction and pin fixation in type III supracondylar humeral fractures in children younger than...
